The Gran Canaria Arena multi-purpose pavilion is located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It was built by the designation of the city as a branch of the MundoBasket 2014. Its objective was to become the local pavilion of the Gran Canaria Basketball Club and to be able to develop in it different meetings and events at a sporting and cultural level.
It has been one of the venues of the 2014 World Basketball Championship, in its XVII edition held in Spain. It also hosted the 79th edition of the Basketball King’s Cup of the 2015 season, an event that was repeated in 2017.
Opened in March 2014, this Pavilion became a European benchmark with innovative solutions of a unique nature until then.
